Amanda Pepping recently finished her self-titled debut solo album which is available through Summit Records. She is currently a 2005-6 Fubright Fellow studying the Baroque trumpet in Karlsruhe with Dr. Edward Tarr. She also has the privilege of working with renowned trumpet soloist and teacher Reinhold Friedrich. In Europe, Amanda enjoys performing a diverse range of solo and chamber music repertoire.
Amanda earned her Bachelors and Masters degree at Arizona State University where she studied with and was teaching assistant to David Hickman. She has appeared as a soloist with many ensembles in the southwestern US and performed in the trumpet sections of the Phoenix Symphony, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, and Brass Band of Battle Creek, Michigan. During her time in Arizona, Amanda enjoyed an active freelance career and was adjunct faculty at Mesa Community College and Phoenix College.
Amanda will be a featured artist at this year’s International Trumpet Guild Convention in Rowan, New Jersey.
