My European travel experiences links:
City of Karlsruhe, Germany--I currently call Karlsruhe "home."
Fulbright in Germany--Fulbright is the wonderful international academic organization which has allowed me the financial backing to have this big adventure.
Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe--This is the music school where I have the opportunity to learn the Baroque trumpet.
Friends who have interesting websites :
Mohi Attarinho's Website --Mohi is one of my roommates. He's an Indonesian computer programming student here in Karlsruhe. We have fun talking about music and fixing websites.
Andrew Curry's Webpage--Andrew Curry was a 2005-6 Fulbright Journalism Fellow, and he currently is a freelance journalist living in Berlin. He has really wonderful entries in his blog and links to his published articles.
Patrick.com--Patrick is a friend of Andrew's. My friend and fellow Fulbright alumni Jen Porto is currently updating the blog. It's daily fun.
Blackburn Trumpets--the makers of my C trumpet
Chopsaver--Chopsaver is a really good chapstick designed for musicians with lips.
Egger Instruments-the makers of my Baroque trumpet
Hickman Music Editions-World-renowned trumpet soloist and teacher David Hickman has opened a music publishing company. I'm the text editor for all the program notes that go along with the pieces. There are many wonderful pieces available for very reasonable prices, including several cornet solos that were out of print. You can also find Suite of Old Spanish Songs, a collection of De Falla's Siete Canciónes Populares and some pieces from El Amor Brujo that I arranged for C-trumpet and piano.
